Tension went high in Eastleigh's Garissa Lodge after a warning note was discovered in the lift of Yare Towers on 12th Street on Thursday.
The note, which was left by an unknown person warned tenants to vacate the building.
According to Starehe Sub-County Police Commander Julius Kiragu, the note warned the tenants of the building to vacate immediately because there was an explosive device within the building.
A team of bomb disposal experts was immediately dispatched to Yare Towers who immediately cordoned off the building and conducted a thorough sweep.
Fortunately, the bomb squad did not find any explosive devices and they gave the tenants the green light to go back in.
