Angry boda boa riders set ablaze a school bus on Monday morning in Embu.

The Lions Academy, Embu Bus was burnt after it was involved in an accident with a boda boda rider.

Sources claim the bus driver hit a boda boda rider and caused him serious injury.

Another source intimated that both the bus driver and the boda boda rider were on the wrong as they were speeding when the accident happened.

The boda boda rider was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, he did not make it.

He succumbed to his injuries on his way to the Hospital.

The bus driver made away with his dear life after as the boda boda riders bayed for his blood.

Embu West Sub-county police commander Inviolata Imani cautioned the residents against taking the law into their own hands. Imani also said the matter was under investigation.

Martin Wachira, the chair boda boda operators in Embu County and the Eastern region, denounced the individuals who burned the school bus and termed them as hooligans.

The residents of the area appealed to the government to erect speed bumps in the area to reduce the occurrence of such cases.
