The Kitengela brothers who were brutally murdered alongside their two cousins by a mob were buried in an emotional ceremony on Friday.

Friends and relatives eulogized the young men as hardworking and prudent.

Mourners who gave speeches during the burial of Freddie Wanjiru, 30, and Victor Wanjiru called for justice.

Their mother, Lucy Wanjiru who flew in from the United Kingdom broke down after viewing the bodies of her sons.

Wanjiru said her sons were the best things she had and maintained that they were innocent.

“My sons were the best thing I had and it pains me knowing that I will never have a chance to speak or see them again,” said Wanjiru.

The area MP Jeremiah Kioni who spoke at the funeral said it was unfortunate to lose promising young men and asked the government to bring the perpetrators of the heinous act to justice.

DCI detectives arrested the prime suspect Benson Melonyie ole Mungai from his hideout in Kitengela. He was positively identified as the person who coordinated the attack on the four.

Ole Mungai is in custody, assisting the police with investigations.
