Lucy Wanjiru, the single mother of two boys killed in Kitengela, was inconsolable as she walked out of the international arrivals at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Sunday morning.
Wanjiru had to be consoled and assisted by family members and friends, who arrived at the airport to receive her, to walk and get into a vehicle as she arrived for her two sons’ burial.

Wanjiru is being consoled and attended to by her kin at one of her relatives' homes as she reportedly refused to go to her house in Syokimau, Machakos County, as she deals with the sudden and gruesome loss of her only two sons.
She was later expected to to visit Kenyatta University Teaching Referral and Research Hospital mortuary, where her children’s bodies have been preserved awaiting burial next week.
The two boys, Fredrick and Victor, aged 30 and 27 respectively, are expected to be laid to rest on Friday at their rural home in Karamton village in Nyandarua County.

This comes amid rising demands from the family and various sections of Kenyans for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the herders involved in the brutal murders.
All Wanjiru has been left with is painful memories and a photo she took with the two sons she loved dearly before she flew out in 2018 for the UK, where she has been working.
Mike Onduso and his worker Nicholas Musa were also killed during the shocking incident, with former set to be buried in Kisii on Thursday and the later on August 21 in Ukambani.
The four young men were killed in Kitengela last week on Saturday evening as they went out in search of food for their supper when herders allegedly mistook them for livestock thieves.
