Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has sent a sound political message to Deputy President William Ruto through Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata.

Kuria said he would support Ruto’s bid for the presidency but would not join his United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party contrary to speculations.

Kuria also said leaders from the Mount Kenya region owe their community some answers in the likely event of a fallout with Ruto ahead of the 2022 general election.

He asked Kang’ata and other leaders to desist from referring to communities in the Mount Kenya region as tribalists when they try to organize themselves politically.

Kuria reminded them that the Kikuyu have done the most important thing by backing someone from another community for the first time in 30 years.

He asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to follow his predecessor Mwai Kibaki’s footsteps and steer clear of the 2022 presidential elections.
