One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals Musalia Mudavadi of Amani National Congress, Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper Party, Gideon Moi of KANU and Moses Wetangula issued a statement on their intended way forward.
The OKA principals met at Hermosa Gardens in Karen where the statement was read on their behalf by Vice Chairman Wiper Party, Mutula Kilonzo Jr.
They are now flaunting the idea of fielding a presidential candidate in the forthcoming general election.
The candidate will be on the race to State House against Deputy President William Ruto, Raila Odinga and any other candidates who will be on the ballot.
Former National Super Alliance (NASA) luminaries Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula also reiterated their previous stance that there are no chances of reviving the NASA coalition.

They unanimously declared NASA dead and the only thing remaining is its official closure. Part of the closure process entails discussions about financial responsibility and settlement.
The principals affirmed their commitment to their efforts in forming the new OKA alliance and the only way they would reunite with Orange Democratic Movement’s leader Raila Odinga is if joined OKA.
“On matters of the Nasa, we Ford Kenya, Wiper and the ANC wish to re-affirm our irreversible commitment to the One Kenya Alliance, in partnership with Kanu and any other like-minded Kenyans.” They said.
Suppose the three former NASA member parties decide to join hands with KANU which is still part of the Jubilee coalition, the NASA parties will first have to withdraw from the NASA coalition and KANU will also have to pull out of Jubilee Alliance.
“If we form OKA, the principals of the three parties must leave NASA and KANU must leave Jubilee. Every coalition, including Jubilee coalition’s life, ends with the next election,” Mutula said.
The OKA principals said political parties in OKA will begin the process of engaging their members with views of formalizing the alliance.
The alluded that their technical team is making satisfactory progress and they wished to assure Kenyans that they are on the right path.
“As a political leadership we are satisfied with the progress made by the technical team so far and wish to assure the country that we are on the right course.” The statement continued.
The OKA principals also challenged the government to beef up the war on graft as they noted that it still remains the biggest problem of this country.
“To this end, we note that corruption still remains the biggest challenge stifling this revival. We therefore call upon the government to intensify the war against corruption.” The statement read in part.
They urged President Kenyatta to lift the countrywide restrictions imposed because of the Covid-19 pandemics citing harsh economic times.
They advised the government to scale up the vaccination programme and lift the restrictions by end of this month.
