The Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co-ordination of National Government Fred Matiang'i has declared July 20, 2021 a public holiday.
The public holiday is meant to mark the Idd-Ul-Adha holiday on the Muslim calender.
The announcement was published in a gazette notice number 7147 dated July 16, 2021.
The announcement read;
IT IS notified for the general information of the public that in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 (2), as read in section 3 of the Public Holiday Act. the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co-ordination of Government declares that Tuesday, 20th July, 2021 Shall be a public holiday to mark Idd-Ul-Adha.
