President Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday visited the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers who were involved in the Ol-Tepesi crash.
Uhuru paid a courtesy call on the injured KDF officers admitted at the Defence Forces Memorial Hospital, where they are receiving treatment and recuperating.
The Commander-in-Chief of the KDF expressed his gratitude for their dedication and selfless sacrifice in service to the nation.
He encouraged them and wished speedy recovery to the officers who were in the wards and ICU.

The officers were airlifted from the site of the crash to the Defence Forces Memorial Hospital, Nairobi following the crash landing of the Kenya Air Force Mi 171E helicopter they boarded.
The ill-fated aircraft had departed from the Moi Airbase in Nairobi at around 8:10 am for a training mission before crash landing at Ol-Tepesi area in Ngong, Kajiado County.

The cause of the helicopter crash has not yet been revealed.
