The wife of the man who died after being sprayed with bullets in broad daylight by unknown thugs on Thika Road has finally spoken out.
She has revealed shocking details of the events that led to her narrowly missing the unfortunate incident.
The woman identified as Susan Wangari narrated the chilling story of how a matatu breakdown saved her life.
On that fateful day, Susan’s late husband Daniel Gucoma called her at around 2:30 pm and asked her to deliver some documents to him.
The documents in question were supposed to be part of an alleged car deal meant to materialize that afternoon.

Susan boarded a matatu and headed for the rendezvous they agreed upon at the Easter-Northern bypass and the superhighway intersection.
Unfortunately or fortunately, the matatu Susan boarded ran into a traffic snarl-up that was on some section of the busy Thika superhighway.
At around 2:56 pm, Daniel made what would be his last call to his wife inquiring about her whereabouts as he was growing impatient of waiting.
Meanwhile, as they approached the area near the intersection, the matatu in which Susan was travelling broke down, forcing her to disembark and board another matatu.
Daniel could not wait any longer and that is when he asked Susan to send him the pictures of the documents on WhatsApp messenger, since he was running late for a business meeting in Thika.
"He felt he could not wait for me any longer as he was getting late for the business in Thika. We agreed that I should share details of the vehicle he wanted to sell and the TIMS account details via WhatsApp." narrated Susan.
The two had agreed that Susan would send the details of the vehicle Daniel wanted to sell and the TIMS account details on WhatsApp.
As Susan was boarding the other matatu, shortly after 3:00 pm, a call from her friend came in informing her that Daniel had been involved in an accident at Gwa Kairu, close to the Spur Mall.
"As we were being transferred to another public service vehicle a few minutes past 3 pm, I got a call from my friend, informing me that my husband had been involved in an accident at Gwa Kairu area near Spur Mall," she continued.
Susan later jumped into another vehicle and rushed to the supposed accident scene, only to find that her husband had already been transferred to Thika Level 5 Hospital.
Daniel succumbed to the bullet wounds he sustained and was pronounced dead on arrival.
