Kenyans have sharply reacted to a video that has gone viral on social media in which a civilian launched an assault against uniformed police officers.
It seems the police were trying to arrest a fellow who appears to be a matatu driver for unknown but was resisting arrest.
Deducing from the voices heard in the video, the police must have impounded the vehicle and wanted to drive it to the police station and the man could take none of it.
Looking on was a crowd of other members of the public who, from the sound of the video clip, were oblivious to the crime being committed right before them.
Some of the onlookers are heard daring the police to kill the attacker, as the others were jeering at the police, who were trying to arrest the man.

Foolishness. You assault an armed police officer who is on duty and in full uniform ???? with a cheering squad that is helping you add to your jail term. "You will know you don't know."@DCI_Kenya#GoodForKenya #KanairoGotSaved

The wat we condemn police brutality should be the sane way we condemn this civilian attack on a police officer. This is not right at all. The officers remained calm despite this
