Inspector General of Police Hilary Mutyambai has formed a special team to investigate the disappearance and murder of four people who went missing in Kitengela over a week ago.
Mutyambai ordered the special team be constituted of officers from the Homicide Department of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
The IG has tasked the special team with the investigation after bodies of three of the four Kitengela men were mysteriously found in morgues located in Murang’a and Thika.
The police boss revealed that the team had already hit the ground running and is expected to update him on progress made in the investigation within a month.
This comes as police are yet to locate the fourth person after the bodies of his three colleague were found, and it remains unclear whether he suffered the same fate.
