Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria was on Tuesday released by a Kiambu court after spending Monday night in police custody.
Kuria was charged with failing to observe Covid-19 protocols as outlined by the government to tame rising infections
His charges in the Kiambu included failing to wear a face mask, convening an illegal gathering, violating the 8pm-4am curfew and failing to adhere to social distance rule.
The Jubilee lawmaker and his 10 co-accused were released on a Sh75,000 fine each or risk going to jail for 8 months after they all pleaded guilty to the said offences on Tuesday.
