A Kiambu member of the County Assembly, Eliud Ngige Ngugi, is dead.

Kiambu County Speaker Stephen Ndichu announced that Ngige, the MCA for Muguga Ward, died on Monday morning.

“It’s with a heavy heart and shock that I have learnt of the passing on of Muguga Ward MCA, Hon. Eliud Ngugi, Ngige (Thika),” said Ndichu.

The Kiambu County Assembly Speaker hailed Ngige as an exemplary leader who represented his people in the assembly with unwavering commitment and dedication.

“Ngugi was a passionate leader and debater who was not afraid to speak his mind on matters of public concern,” he added.

Ngugi passed on while receiving treatment at the Kenyatta University Referral Hospital.
