Former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri has dared President Uhuru Kenyatta to a political duel, saying he will no longer take it lightly if he continues to cause trouble for him.

Kiunjuri, who was speaking in Tharaka Nithi County on Saturday, threatened that if he is pushed to a corner he would “open a can of worms hidden in President Kenyatta’s administration”.

The sacked CS vowed that he would retaliate on Kenyatta if the Head of State attacked him directly and indirectly.

“I will not allow President Kenyatta to push me into a corner and continue using his political lieutenants to attack me. Going forward, there will be a reaction for any action by President Kenyatta,” said Kiunjuri.

Kiunjuri also told the Head of State to listen to issues being raised by leaders from Mount Kenya region led by Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata and 41 MPs, threatening that more will come.

He faulted Kenyatta for excluding rebel Jubilee leaders from the Sagana State Lodge meeting.

“If there is a problem in Mt Kenya, the first group to be invited should have been those in the opposing camp. Why should you be in Sagana while other leaders are out there?”

Kiunjuri, who is The Service Party (TSP) leader, asked Kenyatta to respect all Mt Kenya residents to prevent divisions coming amid revolt against him by MPs allied to his deputy William Ruto.
