Outgoing US President Donald Trump on Wednesday appealed to his supporters to avoid violence, vandalism and law breaking of any kind during imminent demonstrations over his sore loss.

Trump released the official press statement through the office of the Press Secretary, White House.

In his statement, the controversial world leader said violence is not what he stands for, neither does America as a country.

“In light of reports of more demonstrations, I urge that there must be NO violence, NO law-breaking and NO vandalism of any kind. That is not what I stand for, and it is not what America stands for. I call on ALL Americans to help ease tensions and calm tempers. Thank You,”  the short statement read.

President Trump, who was beaten by a wide margin by Democrat Joe Biden in the November 3 election, however,  steered clear of the impeachment proceedings that were ongoing in the House of Congress at the time of the release.

There have been a series of violent protests across multiple cities in the US following the hotly contested 2020 presidential election.
