Police in Nakuru have recovered military tactical gear from a rental house in Pangani, Nakuru County.

The police acted on a tipoff from a concerned member of the public who passed the information to them in confidence.

This comes after the area administration beefed up security following a recent spate of crimes by organised gangs in the city.


Security officers, accompanied by the sub-county security committee witnessed the display of the assortment of military gear.

The items recovered in the exercise include 2 military cap peaks, 3 jungle shirts, 1 pair of jungle trousers, 2 jungle carrier bags, 1 webbing (58) strap and 4 pouch straps.

In addition to that, the team recovered 1 ground sheet, 4 ground sheet carriers, and side pouches among other items.

Police processed the crime scene in the presence of a team of military police officers from Lanet.

They have already launched investigations into the haul.
