Commission for University Education (CUE) has revoked the recognition of Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja’s degree from Team Univerity in Uganda following questions raised on its authenticity.

CUE says it has received further information raising questions on the validity of the Bachelor of Science in Management (external) degree presented to it by Sakaja that require further investigations.

In a letter, commission chairman Prof Chacha Nyaigoti said the issues raised had to be addressed hence the decision to revoke the recognition of the degree of Sakaja, who intends to vie for Nairobi governor.

While responding to the complaint, the UDA governor candidate insisted he had graduated from Team University even as Wahome insists he lacks the requisite qualifications to for the Nairobi top seat.

In his response, Sakaja also denounced the name mentioned in the petition against him, saying he is not Johnson Koskei Sakaja and termed the complaints as being “legally incompetent and fatally defective”.
