About 40 passengers narrowly escaped death after the bus they were travelling in burst into flames at the Buoye area along the Kisumu-Nairobi highway on Monday Morning.


The bus that belongs to the Guardian Angel bus company was headed to Nairobi When the incident occurred at around 4:30 am.


According to witness reports, the inferno started after one rear tyre burst, causing the fire that spread throughout the bus.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the early morning incident as all the passengers escaped in good time before the bus was engulfed by the fire.


However, properties of unknown worth were destroyed in the fire because they could not be salvaged.
