The Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya and the Governor for Meru County Kiraitu Murungi have stepped up their campaigns for the Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga in Meru.

Both Munya and Kiraitu have each called upon the people from the region to rally behind Raila ahead of the August elections.

On separate occasions, the Meru leaders have expressed their confidence in Raila’s presidency, terming him as the most appropriate leader to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

They lauded the former Prime Minister for being the only credible and reliable leader among the other presidential hopefuls.

Munya accused Ruto of spreading propaganda against the government while making empty promises to Kenyans in a bid to hoodwink them into voting for him.

Munya was speaking to Igembe residents at Igembe tea factory.

Munya and Kiraitu vowed to end the popularity of Deputy President William Ruto in Meru County.
