Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala said Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga is the only Kenyan politician with a fanatical following in the country.

Malala was speaking during an interview at one of the local TV stations.

The senator said Raila has die-hard supporters who follow him even without being paid.

Malala attributed the former Prime Minister’s following to the time he has spent in the political arena.

“Fanatical supporters will follow you without any pay and I think there is only one person who has fanatical supporters in this country, that is Raila Odinga. He has die-hard supporters because he has built that over some time,” Malala said.

Malala’s assertions pointed out the possibility of crowd hiring by a section of politicians to give the impression their political rallies are well attended and they have many supporters.

Senator Malala who presently is supporting Deputy President William Ruto will contest for Kakamega gubernatorial seat under Kenya Kwanza faction.
