The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has issued a notice informing the public of the temporary closure of Muthaiga-Kiambu Road.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) would like to inform the public that the Muthaiga -Kiambu Road will be closed from 6:00AM on Saturday February 12, 2022 to 4:00AM on Monday February 14, 2022 and from 11:00PM on Monday February 14, 2022 to 4:00AM on Tuesday February 15, 2022,” the notice read in part.

Muthaiga-Kiambu Road will be temporarily closed to give way to the ongoing construction of a footbridge.

“This is due to the ongoing construction of a footbridge at Km 0+500,” the notice read

All vehicles plying the route are advised to use the following alternative routes to their destinations

The authority further advised motorists using the road under construction to exercise caution as they approach the area and observe the traffic control.

KeNHA also apologised to the public for any inconveniences the closure will cause.
