An Administration Police (AP) officer unit and his wife were on Sunday found dead in their house at Lunga Lunga Police Station in Kwale County in what is suspected to be murder-suicide.  

The deaths of Inspector of Police Tonik Okoth Oloo and his wife Lucy Atieno is believed to have occurred at around 4:00am and was reported at Lunga Lunga Police Station at 6:35am.  

The AP officer was found lying in a pool of blood together with his spouse Atieno aged 28 and it is still unclear what could have led to the shocking incident.  

The bodies of the deceased couple had gunshot wounds and a Ceska pistol and three spent cartridges were recovered from the scene that pointed towards a murder-suicide.

The bodies were moved to Kinango Sub-County Hospital mortuary for an autopsy as detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Lunga Lunga launched an investigation.
