UDA Secretary General Veronicah Maina has urged Cabinet Secretaries and state officers to allow the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to do its mandate without external interference.

Maina said the involvement of public officers in the affairs of the electorate body may compromise the credibility of the elections scheduled in August next year.

“I ask our Cabinet Secretaries and state officers to step back and allow IEBC to enjoy its independence and do its work without interference,” said maina.

The SG made the remarks in Karen, in a forum that brought all UDA aspirants from Kericho, Baringo , Elgeyo Marakwet, Bomet , Uasin Gishu , Samburu , Turkana and West Pokot counties.

The meeting was also attended by the Turkana governor Josphat Nanok with some 20 MPs.

Ruto who attended the meeting said the party will bring the country' s lost glory and readily available capital for jobless youth.

The DP said through implementation of hustler friendly policies in the country under the bottom up economic model will create more employment opportunity to kenyans.

Ruto also urged the leaders from Rift valley to jointly work together to curb the insecurity in the region that has posed a threat to the regions democracy and economic growth.
