The Jubilee party is set to hold its National Delegates Convention at the end of November.

The meeting was announced in a notice released by the party’s National Secretary-General Raphael Tuju on Monday.

The NDC is scheduled to take place on November 30, 2021, at the Moi International Sports Complex (MISC), Kasarani.

“Take notice that pursuant to Article 7.1:1 and 7.1:2 of the Jubilee Party Constitution, a meeting of the National Delegates Convention shall be convened at 10 am on the 30th day of November 2021 at Kasarani,” the notice read.

The notice said the agenda of the NDC will include reviewing, formulating and approving all party policies.

The NDC shall also consider, amend, review and/or ratify the Party constitution to ensure compliance with the Constitution of Kenya, The Political Parties Act and Elections Act among other laws.

Other matters referred to the NDC by the National Executive Committee or National Governing Council shall also be considered.

The month-end NDC is expected to purge all rebel Jubilee Partly leaders from the party who have recently pledged their loyalty to the United Democratic Party linked to Deputy President William Ruto.

Adnan Keynan, Jubilee Coalition Joint Parliamentary Group Secretary, said they would not loosen the noose on party discipline and follow the Constitution to the latter to restore order in the party.

“Civility is not cowardice, but our patience has now run out. The saboteurs that have been sitting on the fence, giving us unwarranted lectures must now know their time is up, irrespective of their stature or political positions,” said Keynan.

He said the party’s focus is on revamping and making itself become more appealing to its supporters.

Ngunjiri Wambugu, Nyeri Town Member of parliament disclosed the NDC will not be attended by all and sundry but only the selected few in respect to the government’s COVID-19 containment restrictions.

The NDC will be an invite-only event which is rumoured to be the organizers' plan to lock out the rebels then officially disembark Ruto from the party since he has officially shown his interest in vying for the presidency in another party, namely; UDA.
