A 17-year-old form four student at Gathiruini Boys Secondary School in Kiambu was lynched by girls from a neighbouring school Komothai Girls Secondary School.

The student sneaked out from their school and sneaked into the girl’s school together with five other boys on Thursday night.

Once they were in the girl’s school at around 4 am, the boys crept into one dormitory namely Phoebe House, for an undisclosed mission.

The boys were spotted tiptoeing into the dormitory by some girls who raised alarm immediately alerting the entire school.

The guards on duty, teachers and students all responded to the alarm rushed towards the dormitory to find out what was happening.

Upon realising their mission was compromised, the party escaped and traced their way back to their school, unfortunately, students and staff cornered the deceased.

They descended on him with blows, kicks and all manner of weapons, causing him grievous bodily harm.

The boy succumbed to his injuries later at Kigumo Level IV Hospital where he was taken for treatment.

Crime scene detectives visited the scene and recovered planks of wood suspected to have been used to beat up the boy.

Police cautioned members of the public against taking the law into their own hands but accord the suspects the opportunity to face justice.
