Before his arrest, Ng’ang’a has passed off as one of Safaricom’s engineers at a transmission station in Murang’a.

He hoodwinked the guard into allowing him access to the transmitter station, but the guard’s intuition had negative about Ng’ang’a that pointed out to him being insincere.

The guard acted on his instincts and alerted the authorities who immediately swung into action and made it to the scene.

Upon realizing that he had some company, Ng’ang’a dashed into his getaway vehicle that was parked nearby and sped off towards Saba Saba.

The police also did not back down from the suspect’s challenge to a chase and went hot on his wheels.

On realizing that he could not move faster than the police vehicle, Ng’ang’a pulled over and surrendered to the police just a short distance past Saba Saba.

A thorough search of his vehicle recovered more telecommunication equipment suspected to have been stolen from somewhere else.
