Police in Bomet County have arrested two individuals in Sotik who are suspected to have waylaid before locking up and defiling a 16-year-old school girl.

A vigilant member of the public spotted the duo identified as Danface Makori 22 and Linus Nyakundi 19, in the company of the young girl at Sudan Lodging at Tembwo trading centre.

The concerned member of the public immediately alerted the authorities of his sitings. 

The area’s Assistant Chief headed straight to the lodging in question to ascertain the information he had received.

Upon reaching the lodging, the Assistant Chief found the suspects locked in a room and they were reluctant to open the door on the assistant chief’s directive.

However, when Sotik-based police officers arrived at the scene the suspects yielded, opened up the door and surrendered to the authorities.

The young girl was immediately taken to the hospital for comprehensive medical attention.
