Chama Cha Kazi (CCK)party leader Moses Kuria has dealt a blow to a section of Kenyans hoping to vie for MCA positions on the party ticket.
Kuria announced that anyone over 45 years will not be nominated to vie for MCA position through the CCK party.
The Gatundu South Member of Parliament took to his Twitter account to make the announcement.
"Bad news if you are over 45 years and seeking to vie for MCA position. Chama Cha Kazi will not nominate anyone above 45 years to vie for MCA position. Let's walk the talk," he tweeted.

Next year's general election is expected to attract many aspirants from the younger generation and CCK.
Kuria's assertions have been welcomed with mixed reactions from a section of the public.
Here are some of the reactions Kenyans had to the idea:
Unconstitutional policy decision. Discrimination on the basis of age. The courts of law can easily injunct you from implementing such decision. Any Kenya can move to court to challenge such policy.

It is a good move. However,I am 36 but I dont think I will want to associate myself with such. I believe a level playing ground, reduction or removal candidate fee for youths etc is a better way than locking out the old.

Hapo umeanguka pwaaaaaa! Stop trying too hard. You are already breaking the law by discrimination through AGE! How can you use unconstitutional means to achieve constitutionality?
