A domestic fight between two parents in Majengo area of Kilgoris in Narok County ended in tragedy after it resulted in the death of their eight-year-old daughter.
The young girl became a tragic victim of circumstances after she received a deadly blow from her father meant for her mother.
Amos Maengwe, 30, and his wife Esther Kaiseyi, 21, were engaging in a physical fight resulting in the tragedy that occured at around 10:00pm.
After realizing what had happened, the couple immediately called a cease-fire and rushed their daughter to the hospital for the much-needed medical attention.
They were stopped along the way by police officers on patrol, who upon realising the girl's grave condition,helped the couple to rush their daughter to Kilgoris Sub-County Hospital.

At the hospital, doctors on duty tried to save the girl's life but her condition only worsened.
Eventually, the little girl succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment as she had sustained a deep cut on her head as a result of her father’s hard jab.
The man and his wife are being held at Kilgoris Police Station as detectives conclude their investigation into the incident before arraigning them in Kisii over their daughter's death.
