The government has banned Mashujaa Day celebrations at the county levels.

Interior Principal Secretary Dr Karanja Kibicho cited the increase in the number of the coronavirus infections in the Country.

This comes as the country is still assessing the situation in Kirinyaga County which is set to host Mashujaa Day celebrations this year at a National Level.

"The National Celebrations Committee ,chaired by Dr Kibicho paid a visit in Kirinyaga County to assess it preparedness to hosts 2021 Mashujaa Day Celebrations," Interior Ministry wrote on its Twitter handle.

Mashujaa Day is normally Celebrated on 20th October of every yaer .
