The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) has issued a notice warning the public against buying 27 Unga brands.

12 of the brands are maize meals while 15 are composite flour brands.

KEBS said the brands are toxic as they failed to meet their required standards.

They listed manufacturers with substandard maize products; flour and maize meal in the market and instructed them to recall their products.
