Police are investigating a case where a businessman and his wife were found dead in their bedroom in Kiambu Town on Tuesday.

Nobody knows exactly what transpired, but the two were found in their locked bedroom with gunshot wounds.

The businessman identified as Jonathan Mukundi Gachunga and his wife Philomena Njeri operated a spare parts shop in Nairobi’s Industrial Area.

It is said that Gachunga, who was a licensed gun holder shot his wife three times before shooting himself.

Friends who saw the man before the incident said he was in a jovial mood and could not understand the reasons for the outrageous action.

Police recovered his gun from the scene and their bodies were moved to the mortuary.

This incident is just one of the many suicide incidents that have been reported in the country.
