3 people are feared dead following a grisly road accident at Salama along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway on Saturday morning.
The unfortunate accident occurred after a Toyota Rav 4 vehicle was trying to overtake a Mitsubishi Canter lorry when it collided with an oncoming truck.
Occupants of the Toyota Rav 4 all perished on the spot and the car is totalled.
Motorists who are familiar with that section of the road say it is a black spot and one requires to be cautious while driving along that stretch not forgetting to observe the speed limits stipulated.
According to witnesses, heavy trucks descend at that area on free gear making it next to impossible to respond to emergency situations that require immediate braking.
