Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a man they say is behind the kidnapping and disappearance of two children in Shauri Moyo estate in Nairobi.

Masten Milimu Wanjala, 20, according to police officers, made chocking revelations admitting that he had kidnapped the two children and executed them in cold blood.

DCI said the suspected kidnapper admitted to detectives that he had executed Charles Opindo Bala, 13, and Junior Mutuku Musyoki aged 12, who went missing on June 30 and July 7, respectively.

Wanjala, who is believed to have murdered more than 10 minors before he was arrested, led detectives to the spot where he allegedly committed the acts and disposed off the bodies in Kabete.

The suspect had earlier reportedly contacted Musyoki’s mother Felista Wayua and demanded a ransom of Sh50,000 for her son to be set free.

Tony Opindo, whose son Bala failed to return home from Sagaret Primary School in Majengo, was asked for Sh30,000 in exchange for his son’s freedom before his lifeless body was later found.

According to DCI, a team of detectives are interrogating the suspected child killer to find out the whereabouts of the other children he is believed to have kidnapped and executed in cold blood.

The directorate based along Kiambu Road has appealed to anyone who has more information about the case to share it with the police as investigations continue before the suspect is arraigned.
