The National Police Service (NPS) of Kenya has come out to dismiss the viral video in which an individual dressed in police uniform was snatched a phone by 3 individuals on a motorbike.
NPS claimed that their investigations revealed that the video was a manipulated video whose intention was malicious. NPS urged members of the public to ignore that video.
The video was captured on a motorist’s dash cam.
It showed 3 individuals riding on one motorbike plucking a mobile phone from a person who was in police uniform controlling traffic at the Roysambu/TRM roundabout.
The police are yet to identify the person purported not to be a police officer.
