President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed 34 judges who had merited the recommendation of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) but rejected 6 of them from the list.

The judges had been nominated by the JSC more almost three years ago.

Their appointment of the 36 judges out of the 41 nominated by the JSC was announced in a Gazette Notice dated June 3, 2021.

The names of the rejected nominees were referred back to the JSC.

The 6 nominees whose appointment was receded include:
