Former Nation Media Group (NMG) senior reporter Wanjohi Githae has landed a new job at the United Democratic Party (UDA).

The appointment of Githae as the UDA Director of Communications was announced by party Secretary General Veronica Maina on Friday.

He now takes over the role of handling the media for the party linked to Deputy President William Ruto.

Githae worked for Nation’s weekend edition newspaper before he was fired earlier this year during the media house’s ruthless layoffs.

“His wide networks in the media will assist in nurturing a food relationship with newsrooms,” said Veronica in the statement.
