25 more people died from Covid-19 in Kenya, increasing national fatalities to 2,048.
Speaking on Tuesday, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr Rashid Aman said three of the deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours though 22 were late reports of fatalities.
Dr Aman said a total of 1,127 positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the past 24 hours from a sample size of 5,393, which saw total confirmed Coronavirus cases jump to 123,167.
He revealed that Kenya’s Covid-19 positivity rate stood at 22.1 per cent.
The CAS said 210 more patients recovered from the disease; 110 from home-based care and 100 from hospitals across the country, and this saw total national recoveries rise to 90,586.

He urged Kenyans to take necessary precautions and follow Covid-19 measures to help the country to tame the third wave of the Coronavirus pandemic that has proved more lethal.
“It is our responsibility as individuals to protect ourselves and to protect others by ensuring that we do not mingle in social gatherings, that we keep our distances. This is a time when we need to go back home and stay home when we can,” he said.
