Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates who their exam in March and April are expected to receive their results on Monday.

Marking of the KCSE exam, the first to be done under Covid-19 pandemic, was completed last week, according to the Kenya National Examinations Council.

The results come out more than 6 months after December, which was the traditional month the results were usually released before Coronavirus came and caused disruptions and confusion.

Education CS George Magoha had indicated that the KCSE exams would be marked in a humane manner while considering the unique circumstances under which they were administered.

Primary and secondary schools as well as universities and other institutions of higher learning are set to reopen on Tuesday after they shut down March due to a spike in Covid-19 infections.

Candidates sat their KCSE papers between March 26 and April 21 and the marking process commenced thereafter but not all the 752,891 candidates who registered sat the exams.
