Former actor in the popular children’s tv series ‘Machachari’ Ian Nene, who is popularly known by his stage name Almasi, claims to have graduated from the university of Kent in the United Kingdom....again.

An excited Nene shared the supposed good news on his Twitter page on Wednesday after he allegedly graduated with a degree in civil engineering and shared photos of himself wearing a graduation gown

“Just graduated with degree in civil engineering, but siwezi rudi kenya juu mtaanza kuniita ‘Fundi wa mjengo’” he posted alongside the photos in which he is all smiles.

However, in 2019, Nene also posted the same photos of his graduation and was wearing the same gowns and it's now unclear where his current graduationis genuine or he was just puling a prank on his followers.

The popular children’s show ‘Machachari’, which revolved around the lives of a group of children and aired on Citizen tv, came to an end in October 2019 after a 13-year run.

Speaking on the cancellation then, Royal Media Services production manager Stanley Ngige said that the story had come to an end after the characters also outgrew the show.

Nene has made headlines in recent years over his uncanny fashion sense and was forced to respond to rumours about his sexuality months back.

Here is what he said vaguely to quash the rumours:

“Them: Haha the flower makes you look gay.

Me: Oh really? (Proceeds closer to the flower bed...)”

He then added, “Someone asked me what my style is... I basically take things from my wardrobe and mix and match them till I find the best fits.”
