Royal Media Services (RMS), the leading vernacular television network in Kenya, announced a leadership reshuffle within Inooro TV, its popular 24-hour Kikuyu language station.

The move aims to solidify Inooro TV's position in the competitive media landscape.

In a memo to staff, Group Editorial Director Linus Kaikai confirmed Lincoln Njogu's appointment as the new Managing Editor of Inooro TV.

Njogu steps up from his previous role as Deputy Managing Editor, replacing Patrick Rukwaro who transitions to Managing Editor, Special Projects.

"I am pleased to announce changes in the editorial leadership of Inooro TV," stated Kaikai.

"These appointments are part of our ongoing efforts to consolidate the performance of Inooro TV."

Further bolstering the newsroom's operations, the announcement included the promotion of Julius Kariithi to News Editor (Input) and the appointments of Caroline Kinyugo, Harun Njoroge, and Martin Munene as News Editors (Output).

The appointments are effective immediately, with Kaikai concluding the memo by wishing Njogu and his team "the very best in delivering on their collective assignment."

This leadership shake-up signifies RMS's commitment to Inooro TV's continued success.

Njogu's experience, coupled with the newly appointed editorial team, promises a dynamic future for the station.
