Makori Ongechi, former education reporter at Royal Media Services (RMS) has posted a subliminal message seen to be targeting his former bosses after he was fired last week over misconduct claims.
In his post on Twitter, Ongechi seemed to suggest that his former bosses that he likened to ‘colonialists’ used the divide and rule tactics against him leading to his controversial sacking.
The former star Citizen tv reporter seemed to allude to his dismissal from the SK Macharia-owned media house being due to fear of his talent and intelligence as a journalist.
“Colonialists managed to use the Divide and Rule method to advance their dictatorial agenda. My brothers and sisters, young people are falling into depression,” he posted.
He added, “Rise up & let history put you in the right wing. They FEAR TALENT. THEY ARE SCARED OF THOSE MORE INTELLIGENT THAN THEM.”

Ongechi has been the subject of discussion on social media for the past three days with hashtags created to bash his bosses Linus Kaikai and Joe Ageyo blaming them for his ejection.
The hashtags seem to point at either the reporter or those close to him being behind them as they have insider information on what transpired before, during and after the sacking.
On Sunday, Ongechi’s RMS dismissal letter was leaked blaming his sacking on alleged extortion targeting West Pokot governor John Lonyangapuo and a school in Machakos.
