Fans of comedian Eric Omondi have been left talking wildly after he posted photos and videos of his wedding to Carol Kamweru of BandBeca in a lavish private wedding ceremony. 

Omondi shared photos in which he is passionately kissing the bride and a video in which Carol’s parents hand her over during the nuptials attended by close family members and friends.


The ‘wedding’ has set tongues wagging coming soon after Carol won his ‘Wife Material’ show on Youtube, with many insinuating that the comedian’s wedding is part of a prolonged act.

What has raised more questions is the way the wedding came shortly after Omondi’s show ended and those taking part in the show seem like actors playing straight from a script.

What has raised even more eyebrows is that during the wedding teen socialite Shakilla, who was also a contestant on his show, disrupted the ceremony and caused dramatic scenes, even attacking Omondi in a bid to ‘stop’ the wedding.


Omondi, one of the country’s top comedians, is known for playing outrageous and outlandish skits and pranks on his unsuspecting fans, and many believe this is just but one of such. 

His ‘Wife Material’ show posted on social media saw Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua ask the DCI to arrest him for allegedly taking advantage of young girls.
