Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege warmed the hearts of many during her birthday party on Sunday, August 21.

She was turning 49 years and was helped celebrate the big day by her family and friends who organized a surprise party.

Taking to her official Facebook page, Sabina took the chance to thank all those who came through and made her feel loved even as she grows older.

“My heart skipped a few beats when everyone shouted: “Surprise!” I think I could literally feel it skip! I can’t believe you made all that effort to throw me a surprise birthday party,” she said.

“It must have been a ton of work and I can never thank you enough. Please know that I am grateful beyond words,” Sabina noted.

She was excited and only left to thank her colleagues and family for making her a happy soul on her birthday.

Further adding, Sabina revealed that she would donate all her birthday gifts to Bishop Gatimu Kinyoma Girls High School in Murang’a noting that the school was in need of dormitories.

Sabina disclosed that she required only Sh 15 million to have a fully functioning dormitory and revealed that she had also received few funds from her colleagues who were also present at her birthday party.

Women leaders such as Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Public Service Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rachel Shebesh, among others were in attendance.

The women representative also asked those who are willing to be part of the drive to join in and support the construction of the dormitories.
