In the photo where his mother sat on a wooden chair with no cushions, the Churchill Show comedian proved the family has struggled in poverty but managed to make an effort.

Excited, YY captioned the post professing much love for his mother.

"No long post alert…Nakupenda mama yangu," he wrote.

In a past interview, YY admitted that his family went through hell, as they had an alcoholic father who had no direction.

After his father died, the mother decided to shift back to the village, but things even got worse than she expected.

He emotionally regretted that his mother would have not abandoned her job in Nairobi because she passed through stressful days.

“I want to advise single mothers out there. If you have a job in the city and then you lose your husband, don’t go back to the village, because you will be told to go back. Usiwache ile biashara ama kazi unafanya uende kuanza Zero kwa village… because you are going to put your children into so much because you want to pleasure the village,” he said.
