Former Kiss 100 presenter and media personality Nick Ndeda and his wife Muthoni Gitau have parted ways after seven years of marriage.

The two confirmed the separation, which they termed as mutual, in a YouTube video via their official channel named Just Doing Life.

The couple further added that their seven-year marriage had been having so many challenges and that is why they decided to finally split.

In their YouTube video, 30-year-old Muthoni reminisced on the old days they spent together for the past six years.

Muthoni further stated that she wanted to explore more in the dating scene as she never had the opportunity owing to the fact that she got married to Nick at the age of 23.

“At this point, we are going our separate ways. After seven years, this feels like the best decision for both of us. The plan is to grow and heal as individuals as we evaluate what we want moving forward,” Muthoni explained.

While also opening up in the same video, Ndenda also agreed that he had been pulling back the relationship as he had left Muthoni alone to make the most out of it.

The two revealed that their disagreements cropped up when they continued chasing shared goals more than individual ones because they had drifted apart.

“Because we are moving in different directions it makes no sense to be together because that goal post has moved,” he said.

The former celebrity couple continued to reveal that they did not want the public to speculate on their breakup from their fans and that is why they chose to do a video together.

Ndenda and Muthoni revealed that they made the decision over a period of three months.

“This decision was not made overnight. It has been three months of thinking and talking to professionals. There are also certain external factors that have contributed to the decision.

Muthoni expressed her excitement at the move saying she was ready for what will be coming next and especially in the dating scene.

“I’m feeling very good about this decision, it makes me feel very excited for whatever is coming next,” she said.

Nick further added that he would not be appearing in the Just Doing Life Youtube channel with Muthoni adding that he would pursue goals he had postponed while in the relationship.

“Now we are doing life separately, which means I will no longer be appearing in the Just Doing Life videos,” added Ndeda.
