Shiksha Arora is known for her articulate presentation of news, bubbly smile, exuberating dance moves on social media and charming personality, which have endeared her to many Kenyans growing her fan base.

However, Shiksha was fired from her job as a news anchor on K24 owned by the MediaMax Limited on June 22 last year when the entire television segment was sent packing.

Even as she embraced the world of influencing on social media during the pandemic, the East fm presenter kept expressing her passion and quest to return to grace our tv screens.

And on June 21, she made a comeback to the tv screens after she grabbed a Friday prime time news slot in the revamped Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) Channel 1 news.

She will be hosting the Easy Friday news segment.

Many of her media colleagues and fans on social media congratulated her for finally realizing her dream to anchor news again and wished her well in her new undertaking.

An elated Shiksha announced her return to tv by posting a photo while posing in front of a KBC signboard outside the offices of the national broadcaster, setting twitter ablaze.

She is part of the team tasked with attracting more audiences to watch KBC news that had been grappling with low viewership due to years of mismanagement and underfunding.

Among others in the relaunched KBC news team include veteran journalists Catherine Kasavuli, Tom Mboya, Cynthia Nyamai as well as Nancy Onyancha and Fred Indimuli, who were fired from K24 and Harith Salim, who was dismissed from NTV.
