Homeboyz Radio has fired presenters Shaffie Weru, DJ Joe Mfalme and Neville Muasya over their victim shaming utterances that had attracted wide public outrage and condemnation.

The decision to terminate the employment of the trio was released in a statement signed by station General Manager Somoina Kimanjino shared on social media at around 1am Sunday.

In the statement, Kimanjino said the remarks by Shaffie, Mfalme (real name Joseph Munoru) and Muasya were neither presented before their bosses not approved for airing.

She further indicated that an internal probe had revealed that the actions of the three presenters amounted to gross misconduct and violation of the company’s editorial policies.

Homeboyz Radio had on Friday suspended Shaffie, Neville and Joe over their utterances on Thursday after 20-year-old Eunice Wangari Wakimbi was thrown off the 12th floor of Ambank House by her boyfriend during their first date after meeting on Facebook.

Their remarks on the story insinuated that women were nowadays "too available" which seemingly heaped the blame on the woman involved in the saga for misfortune that left her walking in crutches as she pursued justice in court.
