Oscar Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o has shared photos on her social media pages in which she is seen enjoying her vacation in Lamu County at the Kenyan coast.

A visibly excited Lupita is seen sampling the coastal white sands while hanging out with her friends, coming over a month after Tourism CS Najib Balala said she was unreachable.

While defending its choice of British supermodel Naomi Campbell, Balala had claimed his ministry had been unable to reach the top Hollywood actress for the last five years.

The 12 Years A Slave actress on Tuesday shared her photos on Twitter and Instagram with the caption “Lamu Tamu | Lamu Damu” and added more while on a boat with her childhood friend, Umra Omar, on Wednesday night.

The 38-year-old daughter of Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o has been sharing photos of her holiday, including on Sunday when she shared one in which she pulled a hot bikini.

She captioned the photo, “Vitamin D. @ohana.swimwear #blackownedbusiness.”

Her posts have excited Kenyans on social media, with many even speculating that she might finally be meet CS Balala and pen an international tourism ambassadorial role like Campbell.

Balala’s choice of Campbell was met with outrage from Kenyans, who demanded for a famous Kenyan, like Lupita, to be chosen for the Magical Kenya international ambassador role.

“She has commitments and her managers cannot allow us to access her. We’ve spent the last five years looking for her,” Balala explained then, with Lupita laughing off the claim.
