Media personality Jacque Maribe has finally come out to address wild reports circulating on social media linking her to a top communication position at the Deputy President’s office.

In a post on her Insta Stories, Maribe denied being appointed by Rigathi Gachagua as the Director of Communications at the Deputy President’s Harambee House Annex office.

The former senior political reporter at Citizen Tv was forced to clear the air after reports that originated from Facebook went viral on various social media platforms on Monday.

Before the fresh rumours, Maribe had been engaged in communications for Jimi Wanjigi’s presidential bid that was cut short by electoral body IEBC, later stamped by a court order but she has continued being actively involved in politics and communications.

Previously the journalist, who launched her tv career at K24, started ‘The Jacque Maribe Show’ on Youtube, which used to air every Sundays, before it stopped showing suddenly.

Maribe’s illustrious career took a dive after she was charged alongside her former boyfriend, Jowie Irungu, with the murder of Monica Kimani in Kilimani on September 19, 2018.
